What is Aam-Ka Jutsu?

This style is an approach to self-defense that blends techniques from across the Martial Arts spectrum to help the student adapt his or her defense to different situations. We do not believe in a "one size fits all" mentality. The primary focus of the art is Karate-like, with influences from Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Aikido, Kung-Fu, Grappling and Kickboxing. Even though "Karate" is used in our title, Aam-Ka Jutsu, as stated earlier, covers an extreme variety of martial arts. Among other traditional styles, Judo is a key ingredient, dealing with falls, rolls (forward and backward) and throws. We teach a variety of self-defense, the "Hard Techniques" (very effective) as well as the "Soft Techniques" of Aikido, a rather "soft" but equally effective martial art.

AAM-KA JUTSU covers a very WIDE range of styles; all of it trained for the optimum use of the physical body.

The primary focus of our training is for street self-defense. We train "hand-to-hand" from every imaginable attack, over and over again. This prepares the mind and body to react in a "reflex" action, should the attack actually happen in real life. If a person takes time to think when faced with a self-defense situation, generally the battle is already lost. Our training at Aamerican Colleges of Karate creates that kind of reflex action, which dramatically increases the odds of surviving an attack.

How long has it been around?

AAM-KA JUTSU has been a very effective method of martial arts since 1968. It is America's first Mixed Martial Art.

How effective is it for self-defense?

Because of the very efficient and direct nature of the art, along with the primary focus of controlling an attacker and neutralizing the threat, AAM-KA JUTSU is one of the most devastating forms of self-defense ever devised.
